# payback uninstall

> Remove the hooks from every agent and the background timers.

## Usage

Removes payback's entries from every agent's hook files, restores Claude Code's `cleanupPeriodDays` if payback set it, and removes the background upload timers. Your agents' own settings are left exactly as they were. Captures already on your machine stay under `~/.payback`; see [Deleting your data](https://docs.payback.sh/data/deleting.md).
