# Gemini CLI

> Hooks in ~/.gemini/settings.json; nothing to do after setup.

## How it hooks in

Setup adds `BeforeAgent` and `AfterAgent` hooks to `~/.gemini/settings.json`, which bracket a turn, running `payback hook gemini-cli <event>`.

Gemini CLI deletes its own transcripts after 30 days by default; turning on passive income raises that limit so sessions are still there when they're offered for review.

## Manual steps

None.

## Turning it off

`payback pause` stops every agent; `payback uninstall` removes the hooks from `settings.json`.
