# aider

> Past sessions only: aider's history files are read by setup and payback upload.

## What payback does with aider

There is no live hook for aider. Setup and `payback upload` read aider's chat history files found in your repositories and offer sessions on public GitHub repositories for review, the same way as every other agent's past sessions.

History files inside `~/Desktop`, `~/Documents` and `~/Downloads` are not searched, to avoid macOS's folder-access prompts.

The same applies to Roo Code, Kilo Code and OpenClaw: their past sessions are offered; nothing is recorded live.
